Free Affiliate Training Classes

Every now and again, I get wind of a good promotional that's either fairly priced or absolutely free.

Today I got a phone call from my friend Ed who's going to be offering all newbie affiliates a totally free training for thirty days. Since I'm all about training and especially the free stuff like I have at the Affiliate Guild, I wanted to blog about this right away.

The training is called the 30 Day Challenge, and here's the skinny, right from his homepage:

"In a nutshell… The Thirty Day Challenge is about making your first $10 online. For a full 30 days we are going to be showing you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.

"That's right, this is going to cost zip, diddly, nothing, nada, ziltch. The entire training program is free, and you won't have to spend a thing to get your business started and begin making money. No credit card required."

Actually, I signed up for it too, and I'm not a newbie as you know. So, there's no hard and fast rule that it's just for newbies, but it is designed to teach the basics from what I understand. I'm really looking forward to this training. It will be interesting to see how it compares to James Martell's Affiliate Marketing Bootcamp training.

The training starts August 1st! So, don't delay in reserving your spot. I think space is limited, but I didn't ask by how many. I do know the training is going to use a lot of videos, so that's good because it means it's more flexiblity with your time schedule.

So, if you want the free training go to Ed's website, sign up, get into his forums and read his blog. Reserve your spot in his free class before it fills up!

30 Day Challenge - see you there!

Affiliate Internet Marketing i-MarketingOrganizer

Jude Wright might be on of the most unorganized affiliate marketers, but not anymore. Jude's been working in Internet Marketing for a lot of years. Don't worry Jude, I won't say how many!

As a basically unorganized person, Jude admits, "I was losing everything! I needed a solution to help me find the information that I wrote on slips of paper, kept in notebooks and saved in emails. I wanted to find that information fast!"

An old hand at creating databases for the construction industry, Jude turned her attentions to making one for Internet Marketing too.

The result is a MUST have application for Affiliate Marketers called i-MarketingOrganizer.

The Version 1 software application is the result of Jude's real world experiences in Affiliate Internet Marketing, lots of research, and hard work. i-MarketingOrganizer works beautifully!

Personally, I can't even begin to tell you how valuable a little application this is. Imagine having all your affiliate program account information at your fingertips 24/7 … imagine having all you passwords and usernames waiting for you on your desktop every time you need them … and most importantly, imagine finding any of them in seconds.

No more scraps of paper or notebooks filled with scribbles. Welcome to the enlightened age of Affiliate Marketing … welcome to the world of i-MarketingOrganizer.

Affiliate Domains and Websites for Sale on Affiliate Blogger

Affiliate niche domains for sale

Whether you're an affiliate just getting started and in need of an already built website, or you just need a good domain to get started and can build your own website, you're going to want to consider a big list of affiliate niche domains I've just posted for sale here on Affiliate Blogger.

I speak with newbie affiliates on a daily basis who are struggling to build their own websites on their own because of the costs associated with having them built. In fact, I spent a few hours yesterday helping an affiliate who is also a Marketing Specialist in the affiliate space, and needed help installing a WordPress blog. You know who you are *grin* … and that's what helped me to realize that newbies to coding need a little more help.

So, while I'm only listing the domains I have for sale, if you need a website or blog built and hosted … I'm open to negotiating that with you.  Many of these domains I have up for sale have old websites and affiliate programs that I used in the past. Almost all of these domains have Internet history, meaning it won't be that hard to get the search engines to look at them when you give them a facelift.

If you see a domain you want, make your best offer the first time! I can't stress that enough. I hate haggling. I own a Saturn car … 'nough said.

Is there another of my domains that you're more interested in buying? I'm always open to offers. In my world, everything is for sale if the price is right. Best offer always wins!

Widgets for WordPress

When I found myself asking … What is a WordPress Widget? I discovered a cool website called Automattic that had some right-on information on widgets expressly for use in WordPress blogs.

According to the folks at Automattic…

“Widgets” is just a silly buzzword we’ve chosen for this sidebar-chopping plug-in we have developed. They could have been called Gadgets or Gizmos or Wizbangs or Whatevers. On the surface, they’re just things you can use to personalize your WordPress site without knowing HTML. Way down deep, they may be something entirely more significant.

I thought that was one of the coolest descriptions for widgets I've come across. So, I wanted to share their website with you because it also has information and tips on how to use widgets, widget themes, widget plugins, etc. and all for your WordPress blog.

Widgets are fast becoming a vital tool for affiliate marketers, so get yourself educated. Spend a day with a widget, you just might enjoy yourself.

Sphinn from Danny Sullivan

Sphinn … it's all the buzz today and I'm reading about it everwhere I go to catch up on today's latest and greatest.

According to Linda Buquet at 5 Star, latest and greatest is an appropriate phrase to use when describing Sphinn.

If you are into SEO, PPC and Internet Marketing you just may want to take "Sphinn" for a SPIN. (That's the pronunciation BTW.)

Many are saying this will replace the now defunct Threadwatch, but with all the social functionality this site has, I say it will far surpass it.

I was wondering what Danny Sullivan was up to these days and now, I get this awesome surprise from the master of webology.

Danny brings us all up todate on his SearchEngineland Blog with the new changes and other changes coming in the near future.

When Search Engine Land launched last December, I talked about liking the name in part because it sounded like "a community, where people can meet, talk, discuss and network." I promised to upgrade the site to help a community thrive. It took much longer than the original "month or so" I envisioned to make this happen. But today, we're happy to unveil our new social site, Sphinn.

And what specifically is Sphinn?

Sphinn is a social site for search and interactive marketers. It's designed to allow you to share and discover news stories, read and take part in discussions, discover events of interest and network with others.

Now what Marketer in their right mind wouldn't like the sound of that?! Hey Linda, thanks for the ping on Sphinn. I'm really looking forward to watching this grow.

Nielsen NetRatings Changes Metrics

Tomorrow, Nielsen/NetRatings will announce that they are no longer judging the popularity of web sites based on the number of page views. Instead, Nielsen will use a different metric, rating popularity by how much time visitors spend at a site.

You, the web user, drove this change, through the software you prefer and the way you use the web. And most importantly . . . with your interest in watching online video.

One of the biggest trends is the movement towards more use of interactive video.

I've found an awesome tool called Screen Show Pro and it's an inexpensive screen capture tool similar to Camista. I'm using Screen Show Pro to build my interactive videos for my various Internet businesses.

After I made my videos, I joined the new interactive video community site called FreeIQ. It's free to join and gives both a venue to distribute your videos, as well as your products, services and affiliate links.

FreeIQ is full of helpful and informative educational materials and products … many of which are for free.

Visit my FreeIQ website … http://freeiq.com/bobbiegrennier to learn more as the Internet is quickly moving towards a video rich world and you need to be a part of it to be successful.

The use of sites like FreeIQ, are changing the media landscape. Your propensity to spend time interacting with the web via video and other new forms of media makes the time you spend a much more authoritative judge of a website's popularity than the number of pages you view.

Do You Squidoo?

How do you make sense of the Internet noise that's coming at you from all directions?

According to Seth Godin's Squidoo.com

Searching online should really be called poking online. Because that's what you do. You poke around. You poke in Google and you poke at some ads. After looking at a bunch of links and pages, then, finally, you get it. You understand enough to take action—to buy something or make a decision. The thing is, this takes a long time.

Squidoo's goal as a platform is to bring the power of recommendation to search. Squidoo's goal as a co-op is to pay as much money as we can to our lensmasters and to charity. And Squidoo's goal as a community is to have fun along the way, and meet new ideas and the people behind them.

Their goal at Squidoo is to leverage the power of personal recommendation online.

That's an awesome goal, but my first visit to Squidoo left me muttering, "Huh?" I couldn't figure out how it worked. It's like being a PC user in a Mac environment with all the cute names for everything, but I just wanted to get in, do it and play. Instead, I had to do something I hate to do … I had to read the directions.

Squidoo has what they call Lenses. I call them web pages or blogs. They're listed in Lenserolls … so, in my mind that's something like a Blogroll. I came across a Lense that helped me a lot
