Affiliate Blogger Launches New Performance Marketing Blog

Affiliate Blogger launches a new performance marketing blog focused on performance based marketing and marketing that converts.

[ClickPress, Thu Aug 31 2006] Affiliate Blogger launches a new performance marketing blog focused on performance based marketing and marketing that converts.

Bobbie Grennier, widely known as the Affiliate Blogger (http://affiliate-blogger.com), is following on the heals of Jim Kukral (revenews.com/Forge) who recently announced the acquisition of BlogKits (blogkits.com).

"The shift into performance based marketing for bloggers looking to earn income through blogging has taken a big step forward," said Grennier. "I wanted to be an active voice in helping to shape this transformation within the blogsphere."

Bloggers spend hours each day researching and writing about their topics just as any copywriter or journalist does. The desire for bloggers to earn income from their efforts is growing, though there are divisions between those bloggers wanting to be paid to blog and others who prefer to earn income through affiliate programs or selling ad space on their popular blogs.

In a 2005 survey by BlogKits, 73% of bloggers acknowledged that using affiliate links on their blog was acceptable.

Bobbie Grennier brings a discerning eye to the affiliate space and now to the performance based marketing space. In addition to having years of experience as a media buyer and lead generation solutions provider, she has also racked up many years within the SEO/SEM search engine strategies side of marketing (http://www.seo-writing.com). Bobbie's SEO writing websites, blogs and articles consistently appear in the top ten natural search rankings in Google's search engine for "SEO writing" and "SEO writer" keywords.

The new performance based marketing blog will discuss such topics as media buys, multi-channel marketing, affiliate partners and publishers, search engine strategies, datafeed marketing, lead generation and marketing solutions that convert to sales.

About Bobbie Grennier:
As the Affiliate Blogger, Bobbie Grennier is the driving force behind the Affiliate Guild (http://affiliate-guild.com), an online free guild for affiliates to find a common bond, tools of their trade and an educational environment to learn and fine-tune their skills. Grennier is an Internet Strategist who often consults with merchants, helping them to develop SEO and affiliate marketing strategies, in addition to a focus on affiliate partner relationships through recruitment and management of affiliate programs. Bobbie's articles are widely published throughout the Internet and she offers free reprint articles at the Article Repository Directory (http://article-repository.com).

Is Internet Marketing Dead?

I just got this compelling email from Anik Singal and thought I'd pass on the information to you:

    Hi Bobbie,

I just got an email about Mike
    Filsaime's Free Report called
    "The Death of Internet Marketing"

I will admit, like you may be
feeling now, that I thought it was
some hyped up offer to get me to
join for free and get some offer…

…Turns out I was wrong. Way wrong.

The bottom line is, this report
really opened my eyes to what really
is the death of Internet marketing.
The good news is, the report also
shows you what you need to know to
    succeed in the near future.

The times are changing and I it would
be a shame for anyone to not read this
report and fail like many will.

I read it, and I wanted to share it
    with you ASAP.

I recommend you take a break from
what ever it is you are doing if you
can and get access to this report now.

    Consider your future success by
    going here now…

    DEATH OF INTERNET MARKETING

    Thanks,

    Anik Singal

25 Affiliate Tips To Success - Good Advice for New Affiliates

The Affiliate Guild has recently posted a great affiliate help list tips of 25 things that new and struggling affiliates trying to make a go of affiliate marketing should take a look at and give careful consideration to.

The Good Advice for New Affiliates post was inspired by Linda Buquet's super affiliate contest going on at 5 star affiliate programs.

Good Advice for New Affiliates
from the Affiliate Guild

25 Affiliate Tips To Success
1. Too much time building websites will bog you down. Make easy to maintain sites.

2. SEO does matter if you want targeted traffic.

3. Get a newsletter email opt-in on every page of every website you own.

4. Either get a forum or get a blog going. (Need one built?)

5. Write about your affiliate programs (article-repository.com). Tell everyone!

6. Focus on conversion not payout. Commissions are important though.

7. Get really, really niche.

8. Find affiliate programs that will be around awhile.

9. Find a search engine friendly cloaking script for your links.

10. There is more to affiliate life than Google! Diversify!

11. Learn about your affiliate programs and speak intellegently about them.

12. If you don't see what you want to represent, go get it. Consider your own affiliate network.

13. Make friends with Affiliate Managers … and if you have a lot of traffic ask for a bigger percentage on payout.

14. Work with reputable leadership (affiliate guild)

15. Buy from the affiliate program if you want to know how they work. We do it.

16. Monetize your websites.

17. If you have enough traffic sell ad space. If you have good SEO ranking, charge more for ads.

18. Ask for the sale. Most affiliate program banners don't close sales, you must do it.

19. You must work 8-10+ hours daily to be a successful super affiliate.

20. Keep it really simple … accomplish your goals with focused resources.

21. Find affiliate programs that offer a wide variety of advertising opportunities from banners to datafeeds.

22. Find affiliate programs that require strong marketing ethics and follow them, WIN-WIN.

23. Find affiliate programs that payout on schedule everytime. You're in control here!

24. Look for affiliate programs with affiliate tracking for phone sales you generate.

25. Look for affiliate programs with solid servers and software that works 100% of the time. Other affiliates write about the bad ones, so be aware and read the affiliate forums and blogs.

ABOUT MAGO™ SKIN CARE

Mago™ (http://www.magoskincare.com) is focused on your body’s outermost barrier, your skin. Their products work as armor against a constant onslaught of environmental insults, fighting irritated, redden, chafed and dry skin.

Dehydrated skin cells are weak and have a harder time holding the skin in place, thus creating room in your skin for creasing which causes wrinkle lines to form. Athletes have a lot of issues with keeping their skin hydrated and protected from the sun's damaging rays. Mago Skin Care™ products are specially formulated for extreme conditions and comfort while wearing. Mago™ calls this ultimate skin care system their Aqua-in™ technology, and the athletes and non-athletes rave about it.

Tagged From 5 Stars

I'm SO tagged!

I didn't even see it coming … suddenly there she was! Linda Buquet with that smile of hers, politely pinging me to let me know that I should consider myself tagged. Wicked wench! LOL

So, here's the deal. There's a tag game going around where bloggers have to share five things about themselves that most readers wouldn't know, and then tag five other bloggers mercilessly.

5 Things You Didn’t Know About Bobbie Grennier

1) Like Linda Buquet, my dad wanted to name me Linda Loo after his favorite gravel truck too! Thankfully the buoy industry was doing better than gravel that year, and so "Bob"-bie was the agreed upon name.

2) I'm very allergic to all alcohol. I love the taste of beer, so besides being a big bummer, it also makes attending affiliate events not so much fun as the others guys seem to be having.

3) I used to be a school teacher and I love helping people learn new things, but you probably know that last bit since I created the Affiliate Guild to help affiliates learn the ropes.

4) If you phone me you're very likely to hear birdies chriping and doggies barking from time to time. I've got a full on zoo in my office and feeding the animals is required … Starbucks for their trainer.

5) I live near the coastal redwoods of California, so my favorite past time is hiking in the woods. I never weary of just how special and beautiful these giant trees are.

Here are my blog tag predecessors. I was tagged by Linda Buquet who was tagged by Anik Singal who was tagged by Rosalind Gardner, who was tagged by Jeremy Palmer, who was tagged by Scott Jangro.

Now I'm passing the torch to Ros Phillips of LinkConnector, Arlene & James Martell of Affiliate Bootcamp, Tom Avery of RevenueSource Affiliate Forums, Stephen Ralph of Top-Affiliate.com and Marifer Vergara from the queenofcheap.com.

Nielsen NetRatings Changes Metrics

Tomorrow, Nielsen/NetRatings will announce that they are no longer judging the popularity of web sites based on the number of page views. Instead, Nielsen will use a different metric, rating popularity by how much time visitors spend at a site.

You, the web user, drove this change, through the software you prefer and the way you use the web. And most importantly . . . with your interest in watching online video.

One of the biggest trends is the movement towards more use of interactive video.

I've found an awesome tool called Screen Show Pro and it's an inexpensive screen capture tool similar to Camista. I'm using Screen Show Pro to build my interactive videos for my various Internet businesses.

After I made my videos, I joined the new interactive video community site called FreeIQ. It's free to join and gives both a venue to distribute your videos, as well as your products, services and affiliate links.

FreeIQ is full of helpful and informative educational materials and products … many of which are for free.

Visit my FreeIQ website … http://freeiq.com/bobbiegrennier to learn more as the Internet is quickly moving towards a video rich world and you need to be a part of it to be successful.

The use of sites like FreeIQ, are changing the media landscape. Your propensity to spend time interacting with the web via video and other new forms of media makes the time you spend a much more authoritative judge of a website's popularity than the number of pages you view.

Affiliate Blogger

Affiliate Blogger posts and articles are all over the Internet as resources and helpful tips for the success of other affiliates, but this blog … my Affiliate Blogger blog … is my home-base where I bring all those tools and tips together in one place.

I also have the Affiliate Guild, where I offer a ton of educational materials for new affiliates and tools to make the process easier. A lot of those tools are totally free, as are most of the affiliate classrooms and materials.

My personal goal is to help others get started in Affiliate Marketing, and not have to learn the hard way like I did.

Things are much easier these days, and then again with all the changes in technologies happening so freaking fast … maybe in some ways it's harder. That's why I take the time to create thoughtful posts as the Affiliate Blogger … to try and help you stay up with the trends of Internet Marketing.

One of the biggest trends is the movement towards more use of video, and especially interactive video. I've found an awesome tool for you and gotten a great reduction in the pricing to offer as well. It's not free, but it's close to it.

The tool is called Screen Show Pro and it's an inexpensive screen capture tool similar to Camista. Only difference is that Camista will cost you $299 and Screen Show Pro will cost you $29 …  this is a keeper!

I'm using Screen Show Pro to build my interactive videos for my various Internet businesses. I'm liking it a lot!

After I made my videos, I joined the new interactive video community site called FreeIQ. It's free to join and gives both a venue to distribute your videos, as well as your products, services and affiliate links.

FreeIQ is full of helpful and informative educational materials and products … many of which are for free.

Visit my FreeIQ website … http://freeiq.com/bobbiegrennier to learn more about all of this because the Internet is quickly moving towards a video rich world and you need to be a part of it to be successful.

No longer is content king. Now it's all about entertainment and video education.
